SiteHost, a well known New Zealand hosting provider is looking for a systems administrator to join our operations team & help keep our growing number of servers & services running!

We are seeking someone who lives, breaths & dreams systems 24 x 7 (sometimes literally!) with a broad skill set who has the ability and willingness to learn quickly. You will be joining a team of highly experienced & knowledgeable individuals so being able to work in a team environment is a must.
This position is Auckland based, sorry no telecommuting.
For this position the following are required:
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Great communication & written skills
- Working knowledge of the OSI Model
- An interest in Information Security
- Rock solid knowledge of the Linux operating system
- Working knowledge of the Linux Kernel
- Strong scripting language experience
- A Drivers License & a sense of humour
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous, but not all required:
- Debian based Linux Distributions
- Cisco networking equipment
- IPTables / Netfilter
- PowerDNS / Bind
- Postfix / Amavis / SpamAssassin / ClamAV
- Apache / Lighttpd / Nginx
- PureFTP / ProFTP
- MySQL / PostgreSQL
- Xen / KVM / OpenVZ
The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator, a self starter who can identify, plan, design & implement changes successfully. You must also be able to perform oncall work & shift work on a roster.
